And here's a conglomeration of somewhat-random sights throughout the trip.
(Conglomeration is such a funny word, isn't it?)
In absence of taxis, one could always hitch a ride on a horse cart.
This will be quite an impressive mosque.
Clay pots, anyone?
Grab life by the horns! (Quick! Name the company associated with that slogan.)
"Children's garden". They're basically preschools - a place for kids 2-6 years old.
The farther we got from the city, the more bikes we saw.
Quintessentially African.
Why did the chicken cross the road? There are some questions we'll never know the answers to...
Every time I see a tractor, I have this irresistible urge to clamber up and search for a fire extinguisher. (This goes back to my Ling days, when my work detail was inspecting all the fire extinguishers on campus. The school vehicles - mostly tractors and old beat-up trucks used for maintenance and construction - each had an extinguisher. I must say I rather enjoyed climbing into all those tractors to do my inspections. :))
Well, well, well, what have we here...
(No, you don't have to laugh. I didn't laugh, either.)
One village (or was it a small town?) we drove through was doing some serious construction along the road.
Monkey spotting!
Little beggars. Clearly they're used to tourists. (This was on a nature reserve we drove through.)
We didn't disappoint them. Yes, that's a chip he's holding. Don't shoot us.
A little farther along, we encountered a veritable party of monkeys right on the road. Funny things.
Here's another kind of termite hill. Cool, huh?
Town sights...
...and village sights.
One last picture post tomorrow, folks!
